Can someone identify a figurine’s origin from a photo?
I have a photograph of a porcelain figurine that I am trying to identify. It is approx. 4″ tall, a boy in a pink suit with a bow tie, holding a top hat, and a page boy hair-cut. It is shiny. I have the photo but don’t seem to be able to post it here.
like the other posting said .. the bottom of the statue is more important to identify the value ,Porcelins .. have certian markings that tell you what year what make .. what factory made it all that . Your figurine may be valuable depending on the markings on the bottom. Go to a barnes and noble .. go to the collectable and antique sections . they have books that the dealers use to date and value there own wares… Match your figure to the ones inthe book . If you think you have something pricless ,, you can always take to the antiques roadshow… I think that you can write them and get opinions. but get a photo of the statue and a PHOTO of the bottom of the statue.. It sounds french … possibly english .. take photos and match them … you could probably do it on line.
